Honoring Heroes: Veterans Day Assembly
Positives: Thank you for allowing me to view and judge your video. Stage productions are one of the hardest things to video record because you don't control anything - including the lighting, colors, or audio. I think you did very good work. Love the lower thirds captions!!! and the graphics. Something like this is very difficult to get different camera angles.
Improvements: I would have made the first clip shorter. Something like this would have been easy to get a crowd clip because the lighting would have been about the same.
Positives: -nice job capturing vets saluting to show emotion -including wide shot of gym to show how many people were in attendance is a nice touch
Improvements: -try to avoid shaky shots, make sure the shot is set before the director takes it. -try not to stay on a shot for 15+ seconds unless something really interesting going on
Positives: Great coverage of the variety of different things/people to shoot in the room. going from a musical performance into a lecture/speaking event was a great transition.
Improvements: The audio felt rough and not clean. It was All Cuts, i feel like some slow cross fades could have been used to help switch it up
Positives: I like the use of graphics and lower-thirds, however they only need to be on screen for 5-7 seconds and then they can be removed. Good use of camera angles to capture the band and the veterans in the audience. The sound mix was good for the band and presenters had good levels.
Improvements: Shots of the veterans were held too long and could use dissolves between camera shots of band and choir. Cameras were slightly out of focus at times.
