  • 4/24 7:51 pm - Your tips were good and made sense. Some of the shots were a little bit shaky, but overall it was cohesive and flowed well. Adding in at the end to check with your tech director was a good addition, as there were will be different situations for different places.
  • 4/1 12:59 pm - As a former Tech Theatre Major in college, this video had a lot of great safety tips in it! I hope this is a video that you show to the students on the tech crew, as it’s a great place to start. The VOs were well done - very clean, good enunciation, and good pacing. The video that accompanied those steps was well planned out and shot well. Overall, a well produced video - nice job!

Positives: This demonstration has an awesome variety of shots that help to demonstrate the important points of each segment. The edit is well paced and the b-roll matches the subject matter and supports what the narrator describes.

Improvements: Titles could hold a bit longer - 1st one was too short and the final title at 2:54 could have come in sooner when the voiceover mentions the points in the text. The shot at 00:59 could cut a little bit sooner and not have been held as long as it is and the final shot with the pan could be swapped for a different shot that either is static or more fluid movement.

Positives: Good narration of the video. I like the jump cuts for the shoes and the next shot also. Good use of natural sound in this video. You have so many opportunities that I think you could have even more, but the ones you have are good. There is a good variety of shots in this video, but with the saw, there could be another when he is using the saw to show a shot of the wood being cut.

Improvements: Watch the shaky camera. It moved in the first 5 seconds. I would explain some of these steps even more (for example: nat sound during the "Be aware"). Overall I like this video, and I feel it is something that could be used for any production before it begins.
