Entry Description

"How-to WCAT Live" is a new series created by Carolyne Torrejon to teach the basics of operating all media equipment offered in WHS for students in the Multimedia program. HTWL is currently making videos for the broadcasting club, WCAT Live but will soon demonstrate the journalistic side of Multimedia. This video demonstrates how to set-up a camera. This is a task that can be confusing to beginners. But HTWL has given the necessary steps to mount a camera on a tripod.

  • 4/25 8:16 pm - Having this as a series is great. It seems like instead of being called How to WCat Live it should be how to set up equipment, as that's the specific thing that's being talked about. The steps of setting up were clear and made sense. This was a fun video that is engaging and helpful for those who are learning the equipment.
  • 4/1 12:59 pm - Good little introductory video to start off the segment. Try to avoid having jump cuts in your video. When you first appear in the equipment storage room, add a light so that your face is a little brighter. A small one on top of the camera would work perfectly. Love the little pointer finger! You had great energy in your video! Your steps were very easy to follow. Just work on the technical aspects (no jump cuts, lighting). Nice job!
