  • 4/24 10:08 pm - Nicely done! The pacing works well, the music adds a fun energy, and the lighting choices make the visuals pop in a really engaging way. You’ve set things up nicely within the trailer format—it gives just enough to hook the viewer without giving too much away. Honestly, I’d definitely want to see the full movie after watching this. Great job! Keep up the strong work!
  • 4/24 2:53 pm - Ha! Okay, this made me laugh. The idea of "You had one job to do" is fun. Not only was this fun but it was well made. The shot variety and selection work and compliment the story being told. You tease enough and tell enough of the story to make the plot vague enough that we want to know more but knowledgeable enough to get a good idea of premise. Your props and location are great and add to the production value of this project as well.

Positives: Great job! The general aesthetic of the trailer (high-frame rate walk - top-down camera - lasers and smoke, lighting design) is excellent and most importantly in this case, FUN. The yodeling needle drop works very well.

Improvements: The narrative feels slightly "vague" and could be expanded upon, just a bit (without disturbing the "teaser-esque" tone). I would also recommend shooting your base frame rate at 24fps to provide a more "cinematic" feel. Excellent job on your entry this year – there was clearly a lot of skill and talent put into this piece.

Positives: Creative use of laser and smoke. Intrigueing premise.

Improvements: Some dialogue could help distinguish the characters more. Would like to have a larger inciting moment to pay off them running away at the end.

Positives: You all did a great job with the visuals—seriously, some of those shots looked like they came straight out of a real movie. You knew what you were doing with the camera, and it gave the whole thing a super polished feel. The editing kept the pace moving and made it fun to watch—nothing dragged, and the transitions worked well. Also, shoutout to the actors! They brought a ton of energy and helped sell the concept.

Improvements: One thing that would take this to the next level is making the storyline a little clearer. The visuals were strong, but I was left wondering what the movie was actually about—just a bit more setup or hint at the plot would help the audience connect even more. Also, a few of the lines from the actors were tough to hear, either because of background noise or volume. Cleaning up the audio mix a bit would really help the dialogue shine and make the whole trailer feel more polished.
