Entry Description
This school promotional piece created for the RBHS cross country team as they embark to state for the second year in a row after winning the state championship last year. This was created for the celebration of our team as we sent them off to compete again at state.

SOUND: Overall sound is crisp and clear! Great mix between the song and the narration! CAMERA: Lots of great closeup shots! And great job including some footage from the competitions. I think it would be nice to see some footage of the student in action! Your interview shot is also framed well! LIGHTING: Great job lighting your interview shot! I really like the extra light on the trophy in the background. That’s a really great touch to separate your subject from the background! EDITING: I think you do a great job overall with pacing. Your editing gives off the feel of being “to the point” with what your subject is talking about and I appreciate that!
- 4/24 10:53 am - There are a lot of trophy and awards shots here...although they are all perfectly lit and executed well, it would have been nice to see more creative cross country practice shots or competition footage mixed in. The interview is set up very well and the audio sounds great throughout the promotion video. I also thought it worked well to use the computer screen for the beginning and end as it tied everything together. Overall, great job!

Positives: The composition of the award shots was excellent. The voice track and footage of the person narrating are effective. The fact that he is humble and dedicated to the team comes across very well.
Improvements: Include more running shots. Consider replacing some of the award footage with action footage. Also, it would be effective to include some audience reaction. It's a big deal winning state. It's important to emphasize that through the reactions of the fans and the runners. Make sure to identify the person speaking. It's important for your viewers to know his name and how he is involved with the team.
