  • 4/24 12:22 pm - This was a fun trailer! Some of the background elements really helped add to the story, like the "Say VaYessa." Some of your shot selection and variety enhanced what was happening and helped the the story. It left us wondering what's going to happen, which is good for a trailer! The graphic at the end did not feel like it fit the rest of the trailer. Look for fonts and graphics that give the feel you want while still being more high quality. All in all, great job, keep it up!
  • 4/24 11:38 am - Great work on this trailer! The editing style and pacing feel right on target for the format—it moves smoothly and holds attention throughout. The concept is strong and comes through clearly, giving us just enough to get intrigued without revealing too much. Camera work is well executed, with solid framing and movement that support the story. One area that could use a bit more polish is the graphics—they come across a bit basic and could be elevated to better match the overall quality of the trailer. Even small tweaks to font, animation, or design could really enhance the visual impact. Overall, you’ve got a compelling idea here with strong execution—just a few upgrades in post-production could take it even further!

Positives: Great job! The narrative is mostly clear and has an interesting "Severance"-esque tone, even the intriguing piano score supports that vibe. The edit sells the "repeating" elements of the plot in an effective way, including duplication of certain audio cues, like Vanessa's excited shout.

Improvements: A lot of the dialogue feels a bit muddled and hard to understand. It does not prevent the narrative from being understood, but lacks the clarity of a properly mic'd actor. Some of those lines could potentially be re-recorded in post? The overall "look" of the pieces seems a little milky, and could use a hit of contrast/color, or a distinct color grade, to give a little more personality to an otherwise cool piece/concept. Excellent job on your entry this year – there was clearly a lot of skill and talent put into this piece.

Positives: Use of ticking clock sound. Match shot of character falling back.

Improvements: Could use some POV shots of lead character. A story like this is ripe for more effects shots to convey the time theme.

Positives: Really cool idea overall—you had a few solid video tricks that stood out and added some nice visual interest. The concept was fun and had potential to be something really engaging.

Improvements: It felt like the text was doing most of the heavy lifting instead of the video and actors. I’d love to see the story come through more in the actual scenes. Also, the lighting and camera settings felt a little inconsistent from shot to shot—just tightening that up would help everything feel more cohesive.
