- 4/24 2:42 pm - Serious technical achievement. There are so many well executed moments and effects, including the picture in the frame at :09. This is truly impressive. One thing that is challenging as a judge is that this work feels a lot more like a video essay or documentary than a dramatic narrative. I think it would have done a lot better in the doc category, but I can't emphasize enough how great this video is. You clearly have a strong grasp of video storytelling. If you intend to submit this under narrative competitions, I would recommend adding 3 minutes at the front that are scripted that showcase a challenge, and then have the ending being these two minutes where the main character chooses joy instead of despair.
- 3/14 11:04 am - While this is a great illustration of you as a person, it isn't really a dramatic narrative. I assume that it was likely submitted to this category because MMEA does not have a category for video essay or anything that would be a better fit for this project.
