An avant-garde, offbeat adaptation of Jim Davis' famous characters. When he learns that there is no lasagna left in the freezer, Garfield is forced to come to terms with his food addiction.
Positives: -Clever: like the premise with the person and the cat -Acting: half way decent acting by the main lead
Improvements: -Plot: I am not sure where the plot was -Cuts: lots of quick cuts that didn't connect to the plot
Positives: - The actors in this piece have good comedic chops! - The motion graphic elements are well done. - The general edit to the high energy of the piece works well. - One of the only trailers/shorts to utilize an adult in a role. Great job in the casting process, it gives the trailer good variation between roles.
Improvements: - In the context of this trailer, I'm not sure that the brief mirror shot was enough to sell that the main human actor in the yellow sweatshirt IS Garfield. It could be interesting to see some clever ways of showing the viewer that who we are seeing on screen represents Garfield. - Some of the more technical elements, such as sound recording, could use a little work. The echo/reverb on the dialogue is prominent.
Positives: Interesting premise. Good music edit.
Improvements: Confused by why Garfield is a human and stuffed animal. Why does the camera shake up and down when Garfield chants for food?
