You have some nice composition and framing moments in the film. Some of the timing on your edit could be adjusted. For smooth continuity editing consider trimming some of the heads and/or tails on your clips. For example, look at the cut at 2:10. You have what it takes to make great films. Keep making movies!
  • 4/22 1:41 pm - You have some great action and reaction shots. I really enjoyed the shots with the flip flops, those were your strongest moments in the story. Your lighting worked for the most part and your camera work, especially around the island in the kitchen, was great. Nice job incorporating various shots and having some close-ups, that was really helpful to understand the tension between the two characters. Going forward, my biggest advice is to work on continuity between shots; for instance, the guy breaking down the door had some extra “scene” between her opening the door and then the cut also included her opening the door. The pace could move much faster by cutting frames to keep continuity but also to make the action really pop. Keep at it, your creativity and passion definitely jumped off the screen.
