  • 4/30 5:34 pm - Amazing commercial! Everything was executed well. Your story, the lighting, the editing, the overall story, you produced such an outstanding video. Integrating yourself into the video game and then the game characters showing up in your life was very well done and professional. I think Sony should know about this commercial's existence, so make sure to blast it out to the world for everyone to enjoy!
  • 3/3 7:43 am - Solid concept! I liked how you immersed yourself into the games, and I thought that was a nice stylistic choice to tell the story of this device. One small change I'd make is the audio, just some sound effects blended with the background music in a way that could have been tweaked just a bit. Good song choice, although that song came out WAY before the PSP, just saying! Haha.

Positives: - I loved this! It was shot super well and the story flowed nicely. It felt so nostalgic and made me interested in the product. SFX were great too. - Visually very impressive! I loved the VHS looking shot towards the beginning, the fact that the character looked the same as the actor, the combination of the real world and the game world, such a great pay off at the end.

Improvements: - End card could’ve been improved visually, a little hard to read and the full blue screen was a bit visually different from the rest of the commerical. - Opening might have been a little too long / slow.

Positives: SUPERB idea - love connecting retro gaming with living in the real world and your end tag is perfectly connected to the storytelling (even if it's an official Sony endtag.) This is cut really well and beautifully thought out overall. Once we're drawn in, you take your time to show us a few ways the device sucks us in. Excellent directing and concept. Sound design is also superb.

Improvements: 2 notes here - one is small, the other is big. You cut the spot to have an edgy vibe which matches the PSP device and games we're seeing. This is excellent. Avoid slow fades to the logo etc. Cut to them to match the feel of the rest of your spot. This is small but important. This is the big one - you're selling PSP but the product is a PSVITA. These are different devices. The VITA does play PSP games, but since you're selling PSP, the product should be a PSP throughout the cut. You spent so much time delivering a great piece with incredible attention to detail on your setups - you want to do the same with the product itself.

Positives: Nice! Great storytelling which lands on a nice wrap up line. Demonstrated really nice ability with GFX / CGI!

Improvements: I think the camera work could've been improved - was craving more tight shots to show our characters emotion. I was hoping for more of a punchy GFX led way to use the end cards and ending supers - the fade in didn't feel right to close the spot.

Positives: I loved this piece! The visual effects, editing, and integration of gameplay graphics are extremely impressive. The music was a great choice and reflects the time period when this product was released.

Improvements: The VHS-style camera segment could either be removed or leaned into more. It might be interesting to apply a VHS filter throughout the commercial to really evoke nostalgia for the product. I also thought the editing could be a bit faster to match the energy of the music. Overall, great work on this piece!
