  • 4/25 11:37 am - This a great promotion for the Digital Media class! Your pacing in the edit is appropriate for the subject matter and there is a good mix of framing and angles to showcase what the class offers. Your VO sounds clear and is mixed well with the background music. Overall, great job!
  • 4/24 9:05 pm - STORY: I think your story shows the essential information the audience needs to grasp what the Digital Media program at your school is about! Great job! SOUND: I think you do a great job mixing your voice over with the music bed. I will say that it would be nice at some points in your video to hear the actual sound from your video or to add in sfx rather than just hear a talking voice and music throughout. For example, it would be nice to hear what is being said at 0:16, 0:19, 0:30, as well as hear the typing at 0:25. CAMERA: You do a great job demonstrating your knowledge of the basic camera shots! Great shot at 0:33! One thing to look out for is camera shake. There are a few shots where I can tell you went handheld. Going handheld is okay! But you want to make sure that there is a reason for it and that it is not overly shaky (unless that is a stylistic choice). LIGHTING: Overall you show great understanding for lighting! You use the light in your settings to the best of your ability! EDITING: I think you have great pacing throughout your video! Your narration very much leads the video but it does a great job of not being too slow or fast. One thing I would suggest is to make tighter edits on some of your shots. For example, we can see the camera shake at 0:14, which is probably when you were going to stop recording on the camera. You can cut this tiny shake out in your edit because we don’t need to see that! If I’m assuming correctly, you may have used a warp stabilizer effect in multiple places within your video. One noticeable spot is 0:19. It is a useful tool if it works right. At 0:19 you can definitely tell that something is off on the shot. I think definitely use the effect if it works on your shots, if it doesn't then refrain from using it!
