- 4/24 3:09 pm - Great music choice and blue color leave at the beginning of the video! The very first clip is done well and sets the tone of the whole video! I liked that the color came in during the passing play and beat drop! You have some good footage here of plays, but some of them play a little long. You have some good length clips between 0:37-0:43 that seem to be cut to the music. Overall, good job!
- 4/23 1:01 pm - STORY: I think overall you do a great job showing us the football team. You provide the audience with some context as to how the team relationship looks! SOUND: Great music choice for your video! Definitely fits in with your school color! One thing that would be a great addition would be to hear some of the sounds from your b-roll clips. For example, crowd cheering, football players yelling, whistle blowing, etc. I think that would add more substance to the overall audio mix rather than just having a music bed. CAMERA: You include a variety of different camera shots! Nice rack focus at 0:01! Be mindful of making sure that your lenses and camera sensors are clean. There is a black spec on the shot at 0:01 in the middle left side of the frame! Same thing on your shot at 0:23 and later on in the video. I really like your shot at 0:06. Just be careful when using autofocus. It looks like your camera was deciding what to focus on. Same at 0:07. For this kind of shot, I would just switch to manual focus so that you know you won’t get any shift in focus. LIGHTING: I think you do a great job utilizing the light you had in the setting that you filmed at. I’d say your shot at 0:56 would be the one that doesn’t look consistent with the others. The white on the flag here is darker than the whites in the rest of your video. EDITING: One suggestion would be to make a lot more of your cuts on the beat. A majority of your shots don’t cut to the beat of the song and hold for too long on screen. For example, at 0:31, I would cut this clip here since there is a beat you can cut on as well. This can also help with pacing in your video. Great transition from the blue/black and white to color at 0:25! Your clip also at 0:44 holds too long on screen. So again, cut that clip to the beat of the song you use so the clip doesn’t drag on!
