- 4/23 1:30 pm - This is a good promotion for Drama Club. I would have liked to see more stage performance or behind-the-scenes footage. The initial shots of the members makes sense and I thought the falling show programs in slow motion worked well. You did a great job editing and it was a perfect song choice.
- 4/18 1:38 pm - STORY: You do a great job showing what Drama Club does. However, is this promoting Drama Club doing just one show, or multiple? Is this a promotion showcasing Drama Club for the whole year? Right now we only see the same b-roll clips from what I’m assuming is the same show. It would be nice to see different productions/costumes/props/sets that have been created. SOUND: I think you did a great job starting with the music playing on location and then transitioning it into the video. One thing that I would like to hear is the actual sound from your b-roll clip at times (very faint). Especially at 0:20, 0:23, 0:25 and 0:27. It would add just a little more life to it rather than just only hearing the music. CAMERA: Great job with a lot of the slow motion shots! You use a wide variety of shots that demonstrate your creativity in this video. One shot that could be different is your shot at 0:16. It technically is framed correctly but what is the purpose of showing off a room full of chairs with someone dancing in it? Do the chairs have some kind of significance? Just something to think about. LIGHTING: Great use of lighting especially in the individual shots with each person. You got very creative with it. It definitely shows off not only your creativity but the Drama Club’s creativity in their designs. EDITING: You match a lot of your cuts to the beat of the song! Well done! Something to watch out for are flash frames or black frames. You have a quick black frame at 0:10. You probably had a really tiny space between your two clips here that caused this. I really liked you editing back and forth going from the paint roller to other shots. This worked very well!
