4/30 2:20 pm - It’s a strong idea and definitely highlights a real issue, but there isn’t much original content here. The font and text size you used worked well, and the music fit the tone of the PSA nicely. The editing and pacing were solid too, but most of the video and voice came from another source. It’s a really good starting point—it just needs more of your own work added in. Also, make sure your entry is viewable by the deadline!
4/27 11:13 am - You did a really nice job telling this story, particularly with the way you lined up titles along with the accompanying B-Roll. Your use of crossfades for the titles really works with the tone of the piece as well.
However, to make this more of your own work, I would lean more on what you can control, particularly for something that you're submitting to a film festival. While it makes sense why you used this footage and the way in which you presented both your titles and the supplemental footage, a film festival is going to look at the editing and filming ability that you bring to a project. In this case, the titles and storytelling are the biggest displays of your work. While good, and effective, they are too small of sample sizes to really demonstrate how good of a "producer" you.
Keep up the good work, you have a good eye and sense of editing.
