A curious little sister begins to theorize about and meddle in the love life of her older brother, and hoodwinks ensue. A warmhearted story about the imagination of a child and a blossoming teen romance.
Positives: Love how you used the animation artwork as a thread throughout the story. The POT sequence at the beginning to get the little sister curious about big brother's distraction was really clever. The texting balloons were well done. Liked the ending artwork de-princessing the girlfriend.
Improvements: The plot got a little thin when little sister grabs the phone and magically inserts herself into the relationship and then big brother picks up on the guacamole.
Positives: That was fun to watch from start to finish. Good pacing that kept me interested and wondering what was going to happen next. The texting segment was genuinely funny, especially the guac line and her admitting that she doesn't have a phone. The young lead actress was cute but also articulate. Interesting use of different media styles and titles.
Improvements: The sound could have used some work. The volume changes in the song were a bit distracting. Story was funny but could have benefitted from some more conflict (the brother getting mad at his sister for texting the girl while he was sleeping would have made more sense). But all in all, a very enjoyable video!
Positives: I can't say this more fervently, KEEP MAKING FILMS! The use of the animation, the creative editing choices, the choice of music, it was all perfect. You have immense raw talent and you're clearing honing it. Also, I appreciate the wholesome nature of this, without compromising in quality!
Improvements: Not much I can say here. You've made a great film here, and you should be very proud!
