- 2/26 1:00 pm - I love the Nats open. Great framing for the interview. Shot nicely on a DSLR. This is, for sure, a news package, and you humanize the story nicely. The narration does a nice job weaving the story together. I wish you would have had more than just one interview.

Positives: - I like how you told this story. It's quick & to the point. You wrote well to introduce your soundbites and not repeat them. Great job! - You are clearly comfortable with the camera. I appreciated the variety of shots you had. Nice work.
Improvements: - This story needed natural sound. You show the sweeping of needles. Let's hear it! That breaks up your reporter track and soundbites, and it helps the viewer feel like they're there. In turn, they will be more engaged and pay more attention. - While your camera shots were great, I wanted more sequences. Combine that with natural sound, you will have a better, more well-rounded story.
Judge 2
Positives: Your broll was great, especially at night when the sun was setting. Great job with the color and making sure it was white balanced. This was a great length
Improvements: Your stand up was really dark off the top. Since the lighting isn't great, ditch it and start with the nats. When you put a mic on someone, ask them to pull the cord under their shirt. I know you were trying to be creative with the interview, but the quick zoom in looked like a jump cut or bad editing. I would have loved to hear from one of those customers. If you have nothing to say other than your name, you don't need a stand up at the end. Put that track over video.

Positives: -Great use of natural sound, especially at the top of the package. -Beautiful shots! loved the variety of angles. Very creative!
Improvements: -The Stand up from the reporter was a little dark. Try to use lighting when possible -It would've been nice to hear from one of the Christmas tree customers. That perspective adds value to the piece
