The story of Maine East High School freshman Luca Silvio and his journey into becoming an amateur magician.
Positives: -opening was fantastic and immersive -strong editing in all facets, loved the real examples of his work
Improvements: -where are the haters (conflict in general.) Who called him a nerd? Find it wherever it is
Positives: I really felt like I got to know little bit about the characters professional life. The bus scenes on his rehearsal space was a nice touch, as it framed him as still a student of the craft.
Improvements: Some of your levels are off: sound, color correction, and it would be helpful if you filmed your b-roll, second unit with some kind of stabilizer as you can noticed the wobble of the hand held. I can tell you are more of a editor, an that was really what I scored you highest on. It def made the film what it was.
Positives: Some creative transitions worked really well and fit the whole magician theme. The B-roll fit the story really well. Lots of variety and movement in the B Roll kept your interest. Really liked the graphics, the style, and easy to read. Great use of music.
Improvements: Interview locations and lighting got the job done, but didn't look like a home movie.
