  • 4/30 3:32 pm - Love the classic noir turned comedy. Creative shots, costumes, and props. Some of the sound was a bit inconsistent. Great job!
  • 4/29 2:40 pm - I can tell you put in a lot of effort in this film and it's a very creative idea but there were a couple small tweaks that could bring this to the next level. First off, one of the very first cuts you could see the actor wait to start walking. I think you should've cut it a little earlier so there's a continuous flow in the walking. Next, when your actor was sitting down for the chair sequence, I felt that you cut it a little too short to wait for him to sit down fully and then cut. Approx 0:55, all of your room tone disappears, which is a lot more apparent than you would think. This next tip might be a bit picky, but I didn't like how your actor's mic was visible, so maybe try hooking it on her scarf. The next scene that was held outside the room tone gets really loud at first, turn it down slightly so your audience can focus on the dialogue. At 2:39-2:46, these scenes are impactful and I enjoyed them but they were out of focus. Other than these I thought you did an amazing job. The story line was direct and has smooth transitions. I liked the subtle ambiguity in the ending.
  • 4/29 12:10 pm - Fun concept. Costumes are good. Lots of cool camera shots. Some technical issues in editing and audio that distract from the story. There's possibly too many time periods referenced here - 1940s detective voiceover, 1990s Arthur flashback music, 1960s jump cuts, 2000s dramatic music and slow-motion cup drop, plus old English font. This could be stronger if you picked a lane and stayed in it. Fun to watch, though.
