  • 4/23 2:59 pm - Compelling opening shot. Creative lighting throughout. There are some major sound spikes between shots, this can be solved with J & L cuts and the balancing of the audio levels. Dialogue at :53 is very difficult to hear. In general, dialogue should always be peaking between -6 and -12 dbs. Strong performances. In regards to the story, it certainly holds my interest – but the timeline is a little difficult to follow. Nice work shooting into frame when a character is going from one place to another. Very cool sequence of the spotlight shining on the main character! Overall, I recommend being sure to balance the audio, use J & L cuts, and introduce more dialogue that clarifies the narrative, but there are certainly a lot of creative and compelling shots and sequences!
  • 3/14 10:49 am - The soundtrack towards the end is creepy - nice job! Recorded sound is uneven at times - maybe use room tone to make those transitions cleaner. Are we supposed to be hearing the dialogue? It was hard to understand what they were saying. I really liked the shot from behind the spotlight! Great depth there. I think your story needs more clarity. Why is this happening to this character? There is a lot of exposition with this person getting trapped in a theatre, but your audience wants to know why. It could use some more character and plot development.
  • 3/3 11:05 am - I am not sure what your film is about. Your character is roaming the underbelly of the theater - but there is no story. Is it a nightmare? Why would she be asleep in the prop room? The dialogue is not recorded clearly so I do not know what they are talking about. Also, screen direction issues add to the confusion.
