- 3/4 10:45 am - Nice video. Good use of music and natural sound! I like that you tell us its for the playoffs and give us the date, but make sure we know what team/school it is for. So many videos like this are viewed on mute, so don't leave it to chance that someone figures out who this is for...if promotion is the purpose, then be blatant about it and promote!
Judge 1
Positives: The music and the way the video was edited (great use of almost exclusively low-angle in-game footage) had good up-tempo feeling and was high energy. The incorporation of the crowd/ambient sound on the buzzer beater was the best part of the piece (can never have enough natural sound!).
Improvements: Didn't know explicitly what the promo was for - are the playoffs starting on 2/25 in general or is it just Batavia? Who are they playing? What round? Extra titling or font could have been added without derailing the piece and provide information. Back panel could have had more "life" to it with a logo or color or other elements.
Judge 2
Positives: Use of crowd noise helped set the atmosphere, do more of this throughout. Large bold font for the ending title worked well. After the intro, cutting to the beat worked well.
Improvements: Opening sequence was cut too quickly which took me out of it instead of putting me in the correct mood. Slow the cuts down by a few frames. Try spacing the titles out so there is more of a story. Packing the date and playoff title at the end took away from the build. Would like to hear more of the court, shoes, and basketball.

Positives: - Short, sweet, and to the point. The message could not have been more clear - PLAYOFFS. Love that you didn't try to put extra info into this; keeping it simple is sometimes the best strategy. - Music was well selected and the pace of the editing matched it extremely well. It got me excited.
Improvements: - We probably could have benefited from mixing up the camera angle of the action shots a bit - all of it was basically from a very similar spot on the floor so the highlights blended together a bit.
