  • 3/3 12:21 pm - The introduction feels slightly drawn out and could be tightened to engage the viewer more quickly. Trimming a few seconds or adding subtle visual movement might help create a stronger hook at the very beginning. Once the CD is inserted, however, the energy shifts in a positive way. The pacing improves noticeably, and the editing aligns well with the rhythm of the music. The cuts feel intentional and timed to the beat, which gives the video momentum and keeps the audience engaged. It is clear that you had a lot of fun during production. That enthusiasm translates on screen through the performances and interactions, adding authenticity and charm to the piece. The chemistry between the subjects helps sell the narrative and makes the story feel relatable. You also did a strong job telling the story of a relationship within a short timeframe. Communicating emotional development in a condensed format can be challenging, but you effectively used visual cues and performance to convey that arc. Overall, with a slightly tighter intro, this would be an even more polished and engaging music video.

Positives: The story of allowing the CD to be the vehicle that takes us to the narrative I liked a lot. The story was easy to follow and made a lot of sense. The camera work was pretty good.

Improvements: With this one, there isnt much to grade. There arent that many scenes and I would have liked to see more thought out storyline. Seems like you just brought a camera to film everyday events. I think if the argument started first, it would give the audience a conflict to resolve and it would make people think "how did we end up here" type of thing instead of the other way around.

Positives: Whoa!!! I was not expecting Pink Floyd and then all the sudden there was SO MUCH PINK FLOYD! The music supervisor on this project made a great choice. Perfect backdrop for the story. The story was straight forward and easy to follow. Great editing, allowing the story to find it's way to completion without rushing it.

Improvements: He puts the cd back in the cd player?! To what... listen to it again? Move on, my friend! The story didn't give us any twists or surprises and I think it would have benefitted from some more of those things. We knew the whole story by 0:18. Gotta keep the audience guessing! A few too many recycled shots. Would have benefitted from some tighter editing as well. All in all, a super fun video to watch. Great job!

Positives: The story in this music video is clear and well told. The sheer variety of shots with the two together being happy works in the piece's favor, so that there isn't much repetition in that sequence. Really nice work gathering those ideas for ways to make the couple look happy! Overall the piece demonstrates a clear confidence in its own ideas and executes on them well.

Improvements: The audio mix during the non-music segments was a bit rough around the edges and would sound perfect with just a small bit of cleanup. Some of the angles were a little flat and I felt like some shots that were locked-off should've been handheld or otherwise injected with motion; for example, I think the "dancing in the kitchen" shot at 1.46 would've been stronger if we FELT the motion and emotion of the dance by being 1) closer to the subject and 2) on a handheld camera with some more lively shake.
