  • 4/24 10:28 am - Nice addition of the announcer camera I love all the different camera angles. That gives the director a solid choice of shots. This is a fun event to broadcast and was probably difficult to cover.
  • 3/5 9:58 am - + I found this broadcast very inspiring. It's important to tell many different stories, and this broadcast showed the viewer how anyone can get involved in team activities. +Clear, relaxed PxP. Nice job knowing your players. +The team really told a story and made the event conversational.

Positives: Good job showing the announcers. For not having any score graphic, good job showing the scoreboard and having talent keep the viewers informed with points and time of gameplay remaining.

Improvements: All of the cameras had a different white balance and colors didn't match. When the roving handheld is shooting gameplay, it broke the film/TV rule of 180 degree. All cameras have to shoot from one angle of the court and shouldn't ever aim from the other side. The camera also should avoid zooming while being handheld as the shot becomes too unsteady and un-easy to watch. Going into replays should only take place during a delay of play so that no game play action is missed while watching the replay.

Positives: - This was really great. The time and effort that the crew clearly put into this event obviously matched (if not exceeded) what you would do for a regular season game and made the event feel really special for the participants and those watching. Well done! - Especially love the enthusiasm that I heard from the announcers. You covered this event well, knew everyone's names and got excited when the shots went in. Job well done.

Improvements: - In general, be careful taking replays over live action. You didn't get burned in this particular clip, but you wouldn't want to miss a live basket because you were still showing a replay of a previous one. - Love having the booth camera on the talent - if you have communication to the announcers, I'd suggest letting them know when you're about to take it. And then for the announcers, it's OK to look into the camera in that moment and "reset" the scene, if you will, for your viewers.

Positives: Good idea to take announcers on camera. Announcers are adding to the excitement.

Improvements: The video does not match the action and announcers. The director needs to anticipate the action. Video levels are not matched, Some are darker while others are lighter.
