4/23 9:13 am - Love the topic but it is dq’d because you have music in it.
Good evolution of your story, I feel like pieces are introduced in a very logical format. B-Roll is very supportive of what is being said good synergy. I love the uniqueness of the story topic.
4/1 1:07 pm - Your entry had music on it, which is not permitted in this category. Great idea for a story. The interviewee gave some great insights into her job. Is there a way you can get permission from parents to video tape her interacting with the students as they board the bus? How could you shoot that video without showing the faces of the students? How about just showing their feet as they get on? That would allow you to use audio of her interacting with the students as their board. This category is all about the interview AND the natural audio - meaning the sounds you hear of the bus and of her interacting with the people in the story. Good b-roll in the story from the bus barn as well as on the bus itself. Overall, nice job - just be sure to read the rules so you know what can and cannot be included in the story.
3/5 11:36 am - This was such a cool story idea! I love how you focused on a person and their job that we interact with every day, but don't normally talk about. You also captured a wide variety of b-roll to illustrate the day in the life of a bus driver. Since this is an audio category, I wish we could hear more sounds involved in this person's job such as kids loading the bus, bus sounds (horns, back up siren, engine starting), and maybe interactions between the student and the bus driver. Music tracks are not allowed in this category. I'm wondering if this would fit better in the documentary category.
