Tired of the football program getting all the hype, students from the band wanted their final halftime show promoted for senior night at the final football game. This is what Kristen came up with.

Consider graphics with your text so it's not just white block font on a black background. Or just consider being more creative with the use of text in your work. Really nice work here!
- 4/20 9:28 am - Yes, yes I am tired of the footbal team getting all the hype! Amen. Audio is good, gives me a good idea of what the band sounds like in their envinronment on game night, you matched some edits really well, ex: xylophone. Drone shots are a nice touch to see the formations and match some of the dynamic movement that the band practices when they march. This is a solid promo and I think that incoming students would be excited to see this, not to mention the current band members. So, Kristen, solid job here! What might be a nice add to really drive home the hardwork of the marching band would be some quick cutaways to them practicing in the band room or in the parking lot (wherever they practice) as well as some shots of the formations on the computer that the band teacher uses to plan? Just a suggestion for something that you might do longer form in the future. Other than that, thanks for making this promo... it's a not all about the football team, all the time!

Positives: nice use of drone shot to show various aspects of the formations quick editing showed the large variety of the band
Improvements: Lighting was erratic at points due to lights in the stadium - went from overly exposed to dimmer lit Narrative might have given more insights as to why to join the band

Positives: The drone footage is a standout and the cuts are clean. The music is well recorded and you can tell Kristen put real thought into the concept. Giving the marching band their own promo moment is exactly the kind of creative idea this category is made for.
Improvements: The video gets repetitive in the middle stretch. The shots and music are good but they start to loop in feeling rather than build toward something. The stronger move would be using those varied shots to ramp up the energy as the video progresses, saving the biggest moments for the end instead of spreading them evenly throughout. Tightening the length would help a lot here. Less is more when your footage is this good.

Positives: Incredible camera work and editing. Use of the drone shots made this video explode. Kudos to the marching band for picking Holst's Planets for their final offering.
Improvements: I wish it were longer. I wanted to see more. Don't know if the band made any formations on the field, but more straight down shots would have been exciting.
