  • 4/23 6:37 am - The presenter clearly explained the process. Good use of titles and graphics to list the ingredients. Dissolves were well done. Good use of fast motion. Good variety of different camera angles throughout the production. Music selection works well with the images you recorded. Good sound effect at the end of the production. Very well done. Keep producing more videos.
  • 2/23 1:01 pm - VIDEO: nice clean shots, well exposed, and in focus. Good shot variety (different angles, close ups, and compositions). Good use of titles, and titles were readable and clear. EDITING: this had a good pace overall, moving through the process efficiently. Nice ending shot as well; always show the finished product. AUDIO: voice over was clear, instructions were clear, the music was nice and didn't overwhelm the voice over in the mix. STORY: overall very well explained and all of the process was articulated clearly through voice over, camera work, and titles.

Positives: Nice intro welcoming viewers into the process. Loved the bite and crunch at the end. Clever finish!

Improvements: Didn't see you prepare the water/corn starch "glue."

Judge 2

Positives: The shot of all the ingredients at 0:29 is a creative way to show everything. The graphics mesh well with it and make what would be a long static shot into an engaging part of the video. Overall, the project is well shot and clearly capture Adding small animations at 1:02 enhance the project and echo what is being explained. The shots and graphics work together and feel intentional, and the amount of text complements what is being said without trying to put everything in words.

Improvements: There's a really fast glitch or missing frame at 0:08 seconds - if that happened in camera the only solution would be to reshoot that part, but if it happened in post, you may need to investigate within your project file. It's really brief, but it is noticeable. There's a moment when you can tell the voiceover was recorded in two different spaces or with different mics. Between 2:18 and 2:20, it is distracting when the audio quality changes.

Positives: Very nice camera shots while moving the knife. Kinda cool graphics with the narratives. Extremely detailed with instructions.. You go guy!

Improvements: It was a friend's family recipe. Shouldn't have said that. Takes away from the genuine background. Way too fast on ingredients. A list or website of the recipe would have been helpful.
