  • 4/16 10:08 am - This student-produced show demonstrates a solid foundation and a promising sense of style, especially with the charismatic on-screen personas of the anchors. The structure of the show is clear and well-organized, and the choice of topics—pickleball, finance, and weather—feels relevant and current for your student audience. Each segment had a distinct identity, and transitions were mostly smooth. However, consider refining your use of transitions: full-screen wipes are most effective when switching between major segments, like from anchors to a feature piece. Between different anchor angles, a simple cut keeps things tighter and more professional. The pickleball segment, while timely and visually engaging thanks to some solid B-roll, could benefit from deeper storytelling. You established the club's existence and its meeting time, but what sets this particular club apart? Adding interviews, showing students playing, or even a quick "why we love pickleball" soundbite could elevate the package. Think of it this way: what would make someone want to join after watching your piece? Technically, your composition is strong and the audio is clean—both big wins in student productions. The biggest area for growth lies in expanding your content just a bit. With only three topics, the show felt slightly underdeveloped. Adding even a short fourth segment or diving deeper into one of the existing ones could help round things out. Overall, this is a strong and stylish production with lots of potential. With just a few tweaks in pacing, focus, and transition use, it's golden.
  • 3/3 6:27 am - Nice personas on the anchors. I like how they are doing things with their hands and not just holding them awkwardly, but they were a little too much. If they were standing it would have been ok, but them sitting there it was maybe a little too much. Keep them a little lower would be better. Pickleball has some good b-roll, but I wish it was a little longer and told me more. All I know is that there is now a pickleball club and it meets before school (even though you did also say they can go at anytime). Good composition and audio is clear. I would like to have seen a little bit more content. You only have 3 topics: pickleball, finance, weather.
  • 3/1 9:09 pm - I like that there was clear order and organization to your show. Great topics relevant to kids. An area of growth would be to have a more narrow focus on your stories. The Pickleball is a cool, current, topic, but what could you focus on to make it more special? What is it about your Pickleball club that is unique from all of the others? I would also only use the full screen wipe when changing areas on content, like going from anchor to package. When you are just transitioning from one angle of the anchor to another, that should just be a cut.
