A mysterious mutant sandwich erupts from a book report and reeks havoc on a school. Only one thing can stop it. To Consume or to be Consumed!
Positives: The comedy in this narrative was well done. The scene where a student was listening to music while another was getting attacked in the background was hilarious. The editing was engaging and felt purposeful. The VFX was well done and was a great fit for this piece.
Improvements: The lighting overall was a little too dark. Would of liked to have seen a more creative approach towards the "5 Victims Were in Total' text on screen sequence near the end. It was funny but maybe there could of been more visual storytelling involved (even if it was just b-roll behind the text).
Positives: Incredible effects & editing.including the 3d render of the sand which floating around. Liked the ending sequences with the music.
Improvements: Needed better visual variety to help carry student performance's. Also, the ending was a little cheap just showing title cards.i need to see a more creative resolution to conflict.
Positives: Very unique and strange in a way that I appreciate! Horror and comedy pair very well together, and those elements mixed together very nicely in this. The flying sandwich, and the purple goo were some really fun visuals. I also really enjoyed the sequence where the young man was fighting with the sandwich and was visible through the rear window.
Improvements: I'm not entirely sure what actually happened here, but it was a very fun time! It was a bit difficult to understand how the sandwich came to be in the first place. It's a bit of a nitpick, but I'd probably recommend choosing less iconic musical selections and go with something generic instead. Sometimes recognizable music, like the Pink Panther theme, could be a distraction. That said, they were all apt choices. Another nitpick: I think the title might be better as "To Consume, Or Be Consumed" as that is a little cleaner and natural sounding.
