- 4/24 11:57 am - You definitely bring in the drama with the sounds and music that you choose, and it gives high tension! When it comes to story, it feels like he’s just running, but not sure from who or what. In your editing, be intentional with what shots you’re going to use and when. It should all be for a very specific reason. So, with the words THE CHASE going on the screen, it kind of takes us out of the story instead of keeping us in the chase. And with the turning around, we see the door close, but it would have been interesting to see an element of what was chasing him, or see more from the chaser’s perspective. Also with the nursery rhyme, it would add to the story if a kid were the one chasing him, or a doll, or something to that effect, so making the audio match and fit what is going on will help add to the overall result. Some of the shots you chose were cool and added to the story; the spinning added to the intensity of the scene. And some of the foley and effects also added to the sound scape of it in a positive way.
- 4/23 8:38 am - Nice work on this trailer! The camera work is a real highlight—it adds a fun, chaotic energy that really sells the chase and gives a strong sense that something (or someone) is manipulating the action behind the scenes. That tension comes through clearly.
That said, I would’ve liked to see a bit more of the story unfold. We know he’s being chased, but where is he trying to go? What’s at stake if he doesn’t make it? Even just a small hint of what’s after him—without giving too much away—could add another layer of suspense and raise the stakes.
It’s a solid start and definitely suspenseful, but giving us just a little more could really hook an audience and make them want to see how it all plays out.
Great job overall—this has a lot of potential with just a few more pieces in place!

Positives: Great job! The rotating camera moves are AWESOME, well done! Really adds to the disorienting nature of the trailer. The "THE CHASE" title treatment works well, and the general pace of edit style is exciting and gives the piece a lot of momentum.
Improvements: The narrative feels slightly "vague" and could be expanded upon, just a bit (without disturbing the "teaser-esque" tone). The sound edit could use a little bit of improvement, such as the placement and abrupt edit of the "rising strings" when the protagonist finds the post-it note.
Excellent job on your entry this year – there was clearly a lot of skill and talent put into this piece.

Positives: Good shots.
Creepy children's song. Though I don't know how it fits into any story.
Improvements: Tries to build suspense from nothing, but what is he running from or even why?
He runs out of the building. What were the stakes?
Judge 3
Positives: Some really cool editing tricks in this one—especially the running scenes! The switching POV shots were super creative and added a lot of energy. Overall, the video felt well-crafted and professional, with a clear attention to detail.
Improvements: I would’ve liked a bit more dialogue to help flesh out the story. Also, the locker scene felt a little off—the camera angle didn’t quite match the vibe of the rest of the trailer. Small tweaks, but they could help bring everything together even more.
