  • 4/29 8:11 am - Hosts were clearly passionate about the topic and very knowledgeable. Great use of B-roll throughout to help the pacing. You could consider different camera angles on the hosts and maybe a little brighter lighting, but the color matched the theme well.
  • 4/29 7:31 am - Great job! Love the concept for the show and the orange lighting and music in the background enhanced the production. The pacing of the b roll visually enhanced the production. Talent was knowledgeable, great leading questions, and had energy that fit the show. The titles of the questions were not needed.
  • 4/16 1:53 pm - Both hosts seem knowledgeable about the music they are critiquing. Don't need the question that was asked by one of the hosts to also be put on the screen at the same time. I thought it was weird that the hosts were holding microphones. Good B-Roll drops throughout and a good conversation about how the album was percieved.
Judge 1

Positives: -Nice use of visuals to help those unfamiliar with the album follow the discussion -Thoughtful questions that connect this album to great cultural context -Creativity with the lighting that reflects the themes of your subject

Improvements: -Remember with the handheld mic to either face the mic or move your hand in coordination with the direction you're facing. It takes practice but can become muscle memory! -Keep working on polish and confidence as a presenter

Judge 2

Positives: -Nice job incorporating VO with photos that matched what you were discussing and the social media element to get an outside perspective. -I like how you displayed the questions on screen. It added clarity and helped guide the viewer through the conversation.

Improvements: -The lighting is a bit dark and can be distracting. Try brightening the area so the audience can see the hosts clearly. -Try leaving the photos on screen a bit longer so viewers have enough time to fully process the visuals.

Judge 3

Positives: Lighting helps establish strong branding for the show, though it may be slightly intense for longer form content. Lower third questions and B-roll support help reinforce discussion.

Improvements: Transitions into and out of content feel rushed, especially around the opening and closing. Add additional full screen graphics with album details such as title, release date, and context. Include speaker names earlier in the episode to orient viewers quickly.
