Judge 1
Positives: One of the hardest things you can do in film is work with animals, so hats off to you for starring with a dog! The scenes with the dog/reactions were very well done and captured well to tell the story. Your characters had two clear POV's and I love the use of music to support the world you created. Also, the little ball on top of the dog's head was adorable. Very strong idea for a short!
Improvements: The biggest thing is story structure-- the part we are looking forward to the most is interacting with the dog, so keep your establishing shots quick and get to the telepathy sooner. That's where all the fun is. I would also encourage you to let us hear the dog tell its owner how it feels rather than cutting to "and that's how I feel." Let us see that on the screen so we can emotionally connect.

Positives: This is funny because people often do think or ask what the animal might be thinking when owners do this to their pets.
Improvements: The audio is not tight to the actor. It is important to be able to hear all of the dialogue, and when the wind picks up outside it makes it challenging to hear the actor. Work to have and external mic that will make the audio clear. What the lighting with the door opening as the glare become a distraction. You can do this by changing the angle of the shot or by making adjustments on your camera settings

Positives: The plot was a unique, creative concept that was clearly conveyed from start to finish. There were a variety of shots that helped tell the story especially the angles from the dog's perspective. The audio was clear and there was a strong use of music to support the emotion portrayed visually.
Improvements: There were a couple of inconsistent pieces throughout the video including the story only containing one dog but featuring two dogs in the final scene. Most of the camera shots were stationary and could have benefitted from movement. Also, the use of lighting could have further supported the story instead of being simple and flat throughout.
