4/23 10:39 am - It is always nice to see fun energy in a movie. It seems like you guys had a great time making it. Some of the shots were out of focus at the beginning. I wasn’t sure if that was intentional because they were bored. I was also wondering why they were ditching school only to do stuff at school since they don’t leave the building until the end. In the film you are referencing, at least one of the characters changes, Cameron. Since you have more time to play with, maybe some character development would help round out the narrative. Keep it up! It was a fun watch!
4/22 1:42 pm - Great job with your color work, the red’s really pop. You also have some nice “playing around” shots. Audio issues need to be resolved. Your background music seems to be at a quality level but the dialogue is very quiet. You also phoned in some of the “playing” shots; almost everything is a wide shot rather than mixing up some close-up’s to bring the viewer into the world rather than watching "from afar". Thinking about your shots as part of the story structure is helpful when filming a narrative; reaction shots, reveal shots, setting and closing shots, these all both help the viewer understand the world but also the story.
