Entry Description

This is an excerpt of a 15 minute documentary about a Naperville charity group called the Samaritan Network. The Samaritan Network focuses on helping struggling people locally with volunteers helping in many different ways.

Judge 1

Positives: Nice tight shots. It was nice to see Rebecca's story.

Improvements: Lighting needs improvement. Use more tight shots during interview with Samaritan Network interviewees. A little music under could help draw emotions.

Judge 2

Positives: good interview with client- helped put a face to the work being done; nice shots of the kids

Improvements: needed more lighting on board members interview; if using multi camera for a 4 person interview- the shot was too similar to the head-on 4-shot.

Judge 3

Positives: Good content/story. Good use of interviews with the people who are struggling.

Improvements: Need better lighting. Could use one more interview.
