Judge 1

Positives: Good message.

Improvements: Move in on the signs. They are hard to read. Consider using all medium shots. The most important parts of this piece are the text messages and the people holding the signs. The vast majority of the frame is filled with background.

Judge 2

Positives: Creative and emotional. A very personal piece, and it shows. Certainly an important story, and it was told in a very limited amount of time. Very impressive.

Improvements: Some of the text went by a little too fast and couldn't read all of it. Could have used a more appropriate ending, like have the final words be "You are not alone." or "We are here, we can help." or something along those lines.

Judge 3

Positives: Great concept. Loved having the variety of people holding the signs.

Improvements: I feel that the sign should haver been larger. Instead of a mid-shot perhaps you should have tightened up the frame a bit - definitely making the sign the focal point. Also seems like the ending could have provided a solution.... where do you go to have your depression treated?
