Entry Description

For this commercial i really wanted to capture a different aspect of converse and how they give a different feel to everyday things like skateboarding. "Breaking Boundaries" represents the ambition to explore and go beyond your limits.

Judge 1

Positives: The lack of color made the commercial very dramatic and the music went well. The different angled shots were very good.

Improvements: I think the skateboard got more play than the shoes and because there was no narrative, it was hard getting the shoe message through to the viewer. "i" in your description should be "I". Sorry

Judge 2

Positives: Scene selection was appropriate and engaged viewer. The abundant variety of shots was well executed and effective throughout the production.

Improvements: More focus highlighting the product. Increase transition pace from shot to shot.

Judge 3

Positives: Edited and shot well. Lots of potential. Good art style and direction.

Improvements: I'm immediately lost on what the actual product until the end, The center of action is on the skateboard. Also no one in their right mind would skateboard with Chucks on. I also needed more insert shots in the middle, the one action of throwing the skateboard over was too drawn out. Need more sound than just music.
