Entry Description

The story of a girl that is influenced negatively by her friends. Throughout the story she drifts away from who she really is, and in the end returns to being her true self.

Judge 1

Positives: I like the black and white. It enhances the visuals. Some of the shots are well composed. The opening is really good (in the tree fort). Slo-mo is a nice touch. Editing is solid.

Improvements: Visually the narrative is a tad confusing because it's hard to tell "who" her true self is... We see the negative influence of the friends but it's hard to tell what she was like before. I think this definitely works as a woman going through changes. There are a few spots where the focus is too soft and it distract from the narrative.

Judge 2

Positives: Good to include a key to at the beginning. Nice composition throughout. Talent did a great job acting. Nice audio to video sync. Strong choice to edit the entire video in black and white.

Improvements: Music video over 4 minutes in length. Footage around 0:34 seems a bit too dark. Try bumping iris up or changing the filter to add light. Pacing worked throughout, but I would've liked to see a bit more beat editing. Overall, well done.

Judge 3

Positives: Great visual dialogue. Slow motion effect was perfect. Good use of layers - including visuals and the scenes. The pacing was good.

Improvements: The audio was not synced with singer at times. The story is great, but there doesn't seem to be any resolution.
