Entry Description

These are clips from our schools live variety show. Myself and my co-director Mike Warbiany are using these clips to show what we think are our strongest examples of composition and technical skill. This four and a half minute video was cut down from a 2 hour show and these were the shining moments.

Judge 1

Positives: Many of the pieces compiled were well done and well executed. Good direction on a varied types of production.

Improvements: Shot selection on key moments of the music performances could be better. Too many different performances to judge, next time just select one.

Judge 2

Positives: You showed good styles of pacing, depending on the song. Liked the way you cut to the beat with fast cuts when it called for it

Improvements: Would have liked to have seen a few more angles on the pianist if possible. Possibly straight on close ups of the 2 singers at the beginning to vary the shots.

Judge 3

Positives: Great job. Nice use of the different cameras. Great job with all of the different performances. Good examples of their work.

Improvements: I wouldn't change anything. Great job.
