Entry Description

"Extreme Ping Pong", produced by Ben Wilson & group. Hand cut paper animation showing the ultimate sport of ping pong.

Judge 1

Positives: Excellent animation. Great falling sequence. Your cutout animation is very effective. There is a nice payoff at the end.

Improvements: You have some secondary characters. (The guy that flies around in the background and the referee.) Define them better. They could be a nice touch, but I'm not exactly sure why they are there. I'd like to see more of your work!

Judge 2

Positives: Interesting idea to have a ping pong match while falling. Funny ending.

Improvements: Nothing really stood out as impressive or memorable. The cutaways to the referee were a pretty jarring at times, and didn't hold on him long enough to make the cuts worthwhile.

Judge 3

Positives: Nice one! Great timing... smooth cut-paper animation. Kept my interest. Liked the flips. Good choice of music.

Improvements: Perhaps a bit more of a bang-up ending, but very nice overall.
