Entry Description

A dark depiction for a guitar commercial appealing to younger guitar players who are into metal music. I was inspired to make this video after watching many music videos and combining new ideas into one to make a unique style. I wanted to combine my love for guitar and music into my passion for film making. I used one light for this video, and wanted to make it seem dark and mysterious. I had to make my own custom light shade for my light and I figured out how to make the light flicker to make the in video effects look more realistic.

Judge 1

Positives: The camera shots and editing was great.

Improvements: Sound could have faded in better and the shots could have been on screen a little longer.

Judge 2

Positives: Music selection was a powerful compliment to the product! Viewer was entertained by use of many visual images.

Improvements: Volume of audio was a little loud during commercial. May have improved impact with more than one scene selected.

Judge 3

Positives: Interesting concept, and cool imagry

Improvements: Music drop made me jump, and thats because of the dramatic and severe shift in volume. Lead the viewer into it more, otherwise your audiance's first reaction my be to reach for the volume control, taking their eyes off of your commercial. Also, what makes that guitar brand special? You need to sell me on it more.
