Positives: Very creative use of editing to change up the framing. Very good use of animated graphics with sfx.
Improvements: I understand the look you're going for, but in my opinion, I would still have liked to have seen some video in the center of the piece, either behind you, or full. It adds dimension. Watch your pacing - when using quick edits it naturally speeds up the delivery. There were a couple times when a slower delivery would have been easier to understand. Your entry is very unique - for that I applaud your work!.
Positives: Great use of Graphics and music. The music complimented the package and did not subtract from it. Very articulate well spoken pitchman. I want to go back to high school and vote for him as Class President. He conveyed a lot of information in a short time and considered a lot of perspectives.
Improvements: 1. In a story about cell phones. SHOW cell phones. You should have had shots of kids on cell phones, cell phones being turned off, phones being put away. The idea of looking up a word on a smart phone is good so show someone doing it. You could do it on a tight shot after hours when you are allowed to pull the phone out. 2. One bad tight edit your audio was to close together. 3. Just a thought, but grown ups are not limited in smart phone use in the business world and school is supposed to prepare you for the business world. Maybe bring that out. Very Nice piece.
Positives: Nice use of graphics - the open/close - well-done the graphics that popped on screen helped to reinforce the content of the piece. The call for interaction was a very nice touch!
Improvements: The audio editing at times during the mid-section of the piece was not completely clean - there were clipped elements. Rather than just the only visual - that being the commentator - B-Roll of students using a smart phone - especially when the discussion of how to look up a word via a smart phone might have added something to the piece.
