Entry Description

A student goes to his first day day of school. He finds this day to be particularly unlucky for one reason. All subjects hand-drawn on paper and copied into a computer for digital coloring. Used Animation Shop Pro, Photofiltre, and Cyberlink PowerDirector. "Unlucky Day" is produced by Daniel Dinh. Chicagoland High School Video Festival 2013 Submission

Judge 1

Positives: Very good! - Well designed backgrounds and character. Excellent walking animation. And great message.

Improvements: Come up with a few more obstacles. This is a little short and it would drive your point.

Judge 2

Positives: Nice punchline. Effective use of sounds.

Improvements: Pacing was far too slow, could have been told in half the time. Some added frames during the walk cycle would have greatly benefited the piece.

Judge 3

Positives: Good sfx. Nice variety of shots. Good foreshadowing.

Improvements: I wanted to hear the character's voice or expressions at the ending. It allows us into his personality.
