Entry Description

This is a clip from the 3rd quarter of the boys' basketball Blackout game. Directed by Camille Suknovich. Submitted to the Chicagoland High School Video Festival 2013.

Judge 1

Positives: Good commentary - knowledgable and entertaining. Good mix of camera shots during a slowness of the game.

Improvements: If possible closer shots of players on shot attempts would be work well.

Judge 2

Positives: Good shot selection. Liked the full court shot from the other baseline after a basket as they started bringing the ball down. You didn't overdue cutting the cameras. You kept the flow of the game and let the game tell the story.

Improvements: Maybe a few more tighter shots, for instance bringing the ball down and they start to press.

Judge 3

Positives: Good job. The action flows well with the camera direction. Good use of the different camera angles. Nice pullout during the free throws.

Improvements: Maybe try a few closer shots. I know that it is harder because of the moving subject, but sometimes the viewer will appreciate the close-up shot.
