Judge 1

Positives: This has a lot of potential. Some of the shots are nicely composed (coming out of the water in the beginning, some of the slo-mo stuff, the overhead colored chalk zoom, the slide shot.) The editing is solid. Good beat cuts.

Improvements: The story line needs more. The opening and ending "dress" shots don't quite fit with the rest of the video. That story needs to be told throughout the rest of the video (intercut). Another layer is needed to the video. Although the talent has some good dance moves, I think viewers want more of a story. Some of the lip sync is a tiny bit off in parts.

Judge 2

Positives: Good to include a key to give credit to the artist. Pretty good editing pace throughout. Nice slow motion effect on swing and trampoline footage. Nice variety in location. Good job syncing video to audio.

Improvements: Water dripping s/fx sounded more like it was coming from a faucet - nat sound may work better in the beginning. Instead of continuously cutting to black near the intro, what about cutting to talents eyes, feet, hands, etc? Talent needed to display emotion throughout the entire video... Possibly layering back and forth between shot at 2:14 and a CU of the talent's face in that setting would allow viewers to see better emotion. This concept could actually be displayed on all static long shots.

Judge 3

Positives: If this music video was intended to be funny, then it was successful. Good composition. Creative variety of locations. ``

Improvements: The pacing was very slow for such an upbeat song. More layers were needed- i.e.: cutting to close-ups.
