Entry Description

This is about how two boys find themselves drawn into the world of books. This PSA encourages students to take the time to Read.

Judge 1

Positives: You demonstrated an effective use of music and shot selection.

Improvements: Next time, to enhance the effectiveness of your piece, give more clarity and direction to the message you intend your viewer to fully grasp. The idea that these boys are "drawn into the world of reading" (according to your submission), could be more clearly stated visually. Keep up the good work!

Judge 2

Positives: Good song selection, it added to the overall feel of the video. Choosing a library as your location was a nice choice.

Improvements: Consider using a tripod next time, especially for the close-ups. Some message of why reading is important would be helpful.

Judge 3

Positives: The music went well with the video. Composition of the guys reading was well done.

Improvements: Color balance is important. I could tell you were shooting next to a window and the video was not white balanced for that as the color was very blue. The video was very shaky. You might be able to prevent that by zooming out as wide as you can and coming in as close as you can. The more you zoom and hand hold a camera the more shakes you will see.
