Entry Description

Contract negotiations between the teachers and the school board are explained in this public service announcement by Catherine Goetze.

Judge 1

Positives: Well produced and informative piece. Great use of variety of shots, locations and editing.

Improvements: Does not fully fulfill the requirements for the PSA category. It does make for a creative, news / interest piece however.

Judge 2

Positives: Good script; The information was presented clearly and effectively. The variety of locations you used helped keep things on interesting on-screen.

Improvements: The editing was very straightforward. Don't be afraid to use B-roll and similar cutaways to help carry the visuals. Also try not to have too much white space in your shots, which is the amount of extra space around the main subject.

Judge 3

Positives: - Visual examples were great! - The host did an excellent job of talking through the script, making it clear and easy to understand.

Improvements: - Sound quality from scene to scene could have been better. - A little music or sound effect could have enhanced the video.
