Entry Description

A tribute to our fallen peer Devin Meadows who died in a tragic car accident leaving the school in shambles. This piece covers the coming together of the students along with providing a context for the dealing of his death. Highlights the community here at Metea and the caring ways of the students here. Judge 1

Positives: Nice use of background music. Nice, smooth editing style.

Improvements: Would like to have heard more from the other students. The zoom-out on the closing shot was not necessary.

Judge 2

Positives: The subjects were lit well to reflect the mood of the story. The video was edited well. The content flowed.

Improvements: This story really needs some graphic reinforcement. The subjects are not supered, so people don't know who they are. The music drowned out the sound bites. Drop your levels when people are telling the story.

Judge 3

Positives: Great open... simple and emotional. The piece had some good pan shots of the sky and artistic camera work - really well done. Good story and good use of music.

Improvements: The music could overpower the piece at times... and I was slightly confused as to what happened to Devon. I would have liked to have heard from more students and their thoughts on Devon.
