Entry Description

Education in the arts is more important than many people realize; this video takes a look at the impact of Wheaton North High School's music programs - choir in particular - on those involved.

Judge 1

Positives: Good open. Like the use of quote and film style look. Some interesting shots.

Improvements: Lower thirds were awkwardly placed and had different colors/themes. Tights shots on interviewees would have been better to keep interest.

Judge 2

Positives: I liked the interviews asking people to describe music in one word; good pacing.

Improvements: It probably wasn't necessary to CG the teachers every time they were on screen; some shots looked a little blue- probably needed to white balance under a fluorescent light.

Judge 3

Positives: Good use of impromptu student interviews. Good cuts between shots.

Improvements: Lighting (interview in front of piano). Sound (interview in front of piano).
