Entry Description

This is a music video based on the concept of man vs. nature. Using the split screen, I showed the parallel relationship between the two and how views change based on scenery. Enjoy!

Judge 1

Positives: Interesting piece. I understand the aesthetic nature of the relationship and the different video clips.

Improvements: Not quite an overpowering presentation. A collage piece that I think might have been more compelling if the clips had be more near matching in form and function than what was shown.

Judge 2

Positives: The slip screen contrast story telling. Good editing and music.

Improvements: The piece could've been a bit longer.

Judge 3

Positives: You include some nicely composed shots. There were also some nice choices in the editing where visual composition was mirrored in the two environments.

Improvements: Some of the cuts didn't seem to have any correlation while others did. This became distracting because that viewer is then asked to make connections that may or may not be there. Also, there could have been more of a narrative development in your piece.
