School play is just days away in this report.

Judge 1

Positives: Good camera technique. Interesting shot framing Good use of b-roll.

Improvements: Try to vary the framing of your shots. All of the soundbites had the person screen left. Voiceover could be more energetic to match the creative energy of the project.

Judge 2

Positives: Great use of music. Really kept the peiece moving. The lower thirds were eye-catching and looked good. Lots of different sound bites gave some great perspective on the story.

Improvements: The narration was a little dull. I thought the reporter could have brought more life to the piece with clearer dictation. The end graphic was pretty plain. Altough the information was easy to read, a better idea would've been to use a similar look throughout the piece (for example, tie-in the lower third to the end graphic.)

Judge 3

Positives: Great music in the background... really keeps the piece moving. The voice over is calm and relaxed - a good contrast to the upbeat music. A lot of interviews with good information. The people tell the story - that's good!

Improvements: I would have liked to see more broll from the actual play (or at least rehearsing) - there were a lot of people interviewed, and the majority of the piece is talking heads.
