Entry Description

Alexandrea Watson is not just your run of the mill high school art teacher. When she's not in the classroom or art studio teaching, you can find this teacher gigging on stage and jamming in the recording studio with her very own band: Rivals of the Peacemaker.

Judge 1

Positives: Good Editing. Shot very well.

Improvements: The lighting for the interview was poor considering that was one of the most important elements.

Judge 2

Positives: Great use of the subjects music. Really helped move the piece. The graphics looked great.

Improvements: The shots were pretty dark and colors were off. This would not have been so obvious if it was edited along with the professional video. Always white balance and light your subjects properly. The audio levels were very hot. Make sure you mix it properly when your audio is coming from different sources.

Judge 3

Positives: Great camera work and music choice. Unique and interesting topic. Good mix of video from classroom and music video.

Improvements: Be careful of shooting with windows in the background... Photographers who don't have shading, they typically shoot away from windows and natural light. Also, the woundbytes with the teacher were great, however I would have liked to hear from students how they felt about their teacher fronting a music band.
