Parody of Catfish TV show.

Judge 1

Positives: The "host" of the video did a pretty good job. After the Manti 'Teo story that broke this year, the humor was timely.

Improvements: Simply mocking an existing comedy show in my book lowers the creativity portion of the rating. Coming up with a new angle or theme would have yielded higher scores. From a technical standpoint, jump cuts are always distracting and hint at a lack of effort in the editing. Some clips could have been edited a bit tighter to keep up a certain energy level and some of the audio (especially when the phone call was made) was challenging. Finally, I didn't feel the script was well rehearsed.

Judge 2

Positives: I felt like I was watching a reality show. The set up and shot selections were effective. The host was believable. Using the MTV bug and the end graphics was a nice touch. It kept the parody consistent.

Improvements: I waited too long for a comedic payoff. Perhaps some more twists towards the beginning or funnier dialog at the start. The build up to meet Riley left me wanting something more than was delivered. Have to watch out for the jump cuts in editing. Shoot lots of cutaways.

Positives: Humorous but relies too much on tired comparisons

Improvements: Lots of editing problems that detracted overall...humor lost in disturbing imagery
