New line of clothing in Chicago.

Judge 1

Positives: 1) Very interesting piece - nice coverage of the interiors as well as exteriors! 2) Good overall presentation - laid back tone with music to match.

Improvements: 1) Consider using a tripod when doing pan / tilt b-roll footage - it will eliminate a lot of shake and jitter. 2) The whole piece can be trimmed a little - it feels like he goes on a bit long in a few sections.

Positives: Great color tone to the project. The white balance and color mixed with the theme of the store makes this piece very visually pleasing. This is very eye-opening to local fashion. I had no idea there was such a large scene for that in the city. Very informative and great b-roll footage.

Improvements: Jazz music might not have been the best choice for this piece. The sax solo really takes away from what the subject is saying. I would suggest picking something a little simpler and maybe something the listener can bob their head to. In a traditional interview, much like the one in this project, you should really try to have the camera at eye level with the subject. I feel like hes talking down to me; literally and figuratively. Its hard to do without a tripod if you dont have one, but in this case if he would have sat on a chair, it may have worked out better.

Positives: A very good compilation of b-roll. The viewers get a good sense of the store and the line. Some nice interesting shots of the products.

Improvements: It would help if you interview others or have others speak or narrate as well. Or maybe if the owner wasn't so static and took us on a tour of the store as well and introduced us to certain products, or favorites that he designed, etc. It would add more flavor to the entire piece.
