Entry Description

Opinions and reasons on why I.D.'s can be important and why student's should wear them.

Judge 1

Positives: Good writing/reporting. Good use of student soundbites.

Improvements: Pay more attention to having consistent audio level/quality. Principal's soundbite was too long.

Judge 2

Positives: Lots of different points of view. It was a good choice and variety of subjects. Great graphic reinforcement. Identifying your subjects is important.

Improvements: The sound was very low and sometimes hard to understand. Check your levels. The shots were often blurry. Check your focus and make sure you have proper lighting.

Judge 3

Positives: Good use of students to explain the importance of the IDs. The story is well laid-out and easy to follow.

Improvements: Though the presentation was simple, it was a little too simple and dragged at times. Using imagery from Newtown would have significantly helped the piece and driven home the importance of IDs.
